Anyone who wants to lose weight and is concerned with the various diets to do so, can't get around the so-called protein diet (sometimes also referred to as the Atkins diet). It is already a hit with the stars and starlets - but what exactly has to be done with this diet variant and what about the benefits?
Reduce the carbohydrates
Important, in this type of diet is to greatly increase the daily amount of protein and in turn, drastically reduce the daily amount of carbohydrates. This requires a basic knowledge of the energy values of the individual Food is worked out so that the right and important foods can be used and consumed.

Likewise, many people also miss out on the filling side dishes of potatoes, rice or pasta at lunch.
For this reason, the protein diet was also partially modified so that you only have to give up carbohydrates at dinner. So at breakfast as well as at lunch you can also eat carbohydrate-rich foods.
Sense & Benefit
This form of diet is so popular because actually the pounds fall in a short time. The reason for this lies in our metabolism: our body needs the carbohydrates so that it can properly utilize fat and protein. If these are missing, fat and protein can be eaten without hesitation, because they cannot be used as a source of energy. The body is thus forced to attack its fat reserves (the unloved fat pads) in order to obtain the energy for its work. Certainly, the pounds will tumble faster if the protein diet is carried out all day. However, the body is enormously burdened with the high amount of protein. So it makes more sense that you only change your dinner accordingly. In this way, losing weight may be slower, but the body is spared and kept healthy.
